Warner Music Group recently partnered up with Dope Hitz Entertainment to distribute the music of this East Coast conglomerate to a larger mass of listeners.
Dope Hitz entertainment has been making their own noise for quite some time now, so it was a matter of time until the consistency of their efforts garnered a larger opportunity. They caught the attention of Warner Music Group (formerly Warner Bros), and that’s no easy task. Labels don’t really do artist development anymore, nowadays indie rappers need to create a buzz on their own, and then the major labels will come knocking.
Artists like Hooly Da Goat and YSB Bizz have been the backbone of the Dope Hitz movement, and the time to reap the benefits is close on the horizon. We recently covered one of the videos feat. EBK Naz and that visual is still running great numbers up.
This new compilation in collaboration with Warner Music Group is eight tracks deep and showcases the depth of the current roster. With a run time of just under 25 minutes, it’s nothing but back to back bangers from the squad without dragging along or becoming monotonous.
It’s looking like the sky is the limit for dope hits right now, as they continue to push the boundaries on what’s possible in the future for new music. Maybe they will extend their reach and start to recruit members from the southern states and West coast. Only time will tell.
This compilation has a predominately trap sound to it. Featured artists include GHS, Hooly, 2.1.5,
Dallas Parx, Haines $t. Yayo, Joey Drama & Ben Rich. These artists all represent for New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Baltimore. They have the East coast on lockdown. Be on the lookout for many more projects coming soon.
