We recently had a chance to speak to rapper Kobra Man, about his new project and what he has in the works. Here’s what he had to say . . . . .
MBB: You have a mixture of street tales with clever lyrics, how do you find the balance and inspiration to write these songs?
Kobra: I remember my past experiences with my peers as a kid, how we grew up, and those that are still stuck in the game as a reminder.
MBB: What are a few ways you promote your music different than others?
Kobra: I Still Believe Word Of Mouth But In Overall Aspects Net Working And Building Yourself into a brand is very important also The Internet is A powerful tool.
MBB: The beat on ‘Butter’ is bangin, who did the production and how did you link up?
Kobra: Thank you. The beat was done by my producer “DJ Ceasel” of W.N.Y Records. He’s produced all of my music so far. Yung Ren introduced us about 3-4 years ago. He’s also on the W.N.Y Records roster, with a feature on my current mixtape, called “Straight Up”.
MBB: How did you get the name Kobra Man, and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Kobra: MY NAME KOBRA COMES FROM THE GOD BODY IN ME SOMETHING LIKE A MAMBA MENTALITY ESTABLISHED WELL REPRESENTED AROUND GOOD PEOPLE SETTLED IN MY CRAFT
KNOWING MY FAMILY IS LIVING GREAT RASING MY SON.
MBB: How is the response so far of Man On A M.I.S.S.I.O.N., and what’s your next move?
Kobra: THE RESPONSE IS GREAT NOTHING BUT LOVE CAN’T WAIT FOR THE WORLD TO HEAR MORE I HAVE A LOT TO GIVE AND TONS OF RESPECT TO EARN IN THE WORLD OF MUSIC IM STILL GROWING WITH TIME MY NEXT MOVE IS TO MAKE SURE I BUILD A FOUNDATION FOR MY SON THROUGH THE MUSIC AND INVESTING AS MUCH AS I CAN
