We recently caught up with Swiff, who’s been putting it down for Saskatchewan, Canada. Here’s what he had to say.
MBB: How did you hook up with Blase Beats?
SWIFF: Me and blase knew each other from the start, I was 14 just started writing shit and he was making like EDM beats back then it wasn’t good and he knew he had to find his sound I think he hit his stride on champ supreme for sure.
MBB: Explain your writing process. Do you start with the hook or verse?
SWIFF: I always start with a verse but most times I don’t even write a verse without a beat, I need the beat to vibe out until I feel where the beat wants me to go and what it wants me to say to make it bang.
MBB: Have you done any concerts in the states?
SWIFF: I did a show in April at this underground club thing it was lit, we got lots more planned out nothing set in stone but once the tape drops I’ll be doin shows all over.
MBB: How long have you been rapping and What else can we expect this year from you in music?
SWIFF: I been rapping for like 5 years taking it serious, before that we just freestyle whenever we get lit and one day we realized like damn we got this sound people need to hear this.
MBB: Which industry artists would you most like to work with and why?
SWIFF: I make bangers, period. The one artist I know I could make it a hit with is T Raww I been following his career since I started, i know anything we got on would be played in every club every night.
