A modern fusion between the essence of love, pain and R&B music can be described as Neo-Soul. When reflecting on the true sound of this, several tracks come from songstress J. Sariah.
She holds her own among other artists to bless this genre, such as Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott to name a few, so expect to hear much more music in the future.
J. Sariah is a stylistic music artist residing in Houston, TX but originally from Macon, GA. Her debut is alum is a smooth and soulful ode to 90’s R&B, produced by the double team of 3Bubble and J. Gray.
2018 will be a great leap for her and the record label Live From The Pentagon Entertainment. This new project titled “The Journey”, releasing July 31st is showcasing J. Sariah’s talent and star quality, right from the very first song. Additional production is handled by DJ Izzy Ill, idreaminstereo and Dorothy Chan of Barron Studios, also located in Houston.
“He thinks it’s funny to play games with me, mentally,
like I wont do more to him physically, or sexually.
If he keeps it up, there won’t be much of,
him and his girl he thinks he’s in love with i’m trying to,
stay in the friend zone.”
– J. Sariah
This project is emotion driven, with a well rounded variety of beats, along with a few ballads. It definitely shows a growing experience on J. Sariah’s part and
From what I can tell there is really no filler on the album, J. Sariah is bringing back the times when albums took listeners on a ride beginning to end. Through clever storytelling which is based on experience, this collection of songs expresses “The Journey” of tumultuous young love.
