Santa Cruz, Ca rapper C-Smoke is poised to set the bar for up and coming artists. His music is touching more than the Central Coast, its buzzing on the national scene.
Recently he made an appearance on the track “Built Like That” from Atlanta artist Mercury, which also has a video in the works. For the past 10 years he has made numerous guest appearances on hip hop albums and performed at several concerts along the West Coast. Now, he is ready to kick in high gear with a debut release produced entirely by Fury Figeroa. The duo have a chemistry that goes way back with songs like “Dose Of Da Funk” feat. S.B., “Invasion” feat. Ross Rock, and “West Coast Chopperz” from the “Top of the Food Chain” album.
Featuring sharp delivery and a high pitched yet extremely powerful voice, C-Smoke is heavily influenced by southern music styles and various soul melodies. At times, practically shouting through the microphone, he pours out his emotional rhymes with a graceful and effortless flow.
This will be the first official album from C-Smoke, titled ” Dedication ta da Souljas” and it is scheduled for release later this year. Fury Figeroa is spearheading the whole project from production, to engineering, and it will be be released under his X.L.E.N.T. imprint. The first single is called “Let Them Angels Sing”, and it has a distinct sound which blends C-Smoke’s spiritual persona with tales of street life over a heavy-synth and marching band type beat.
