MBB: This is a nice beat. Its reminds me of “Sensual Seduction” by Snoop Dogg. who produced it?
J. AUSTIN: This guy named CMPLX he’s dope. I think he produced for Roy Woods I’m not sure but I think it was the single he put out.
MBB: How did you come up with the concept for this song?
J. AUSTIN: I was just thinking of anthems for the party music I was making for a EP. So, I was talking to someone about it and they said when Shawty Lo said “Big ups to all my haters” and I remember that was huge everybody’s favorite quote. So I kind of used that to fuel the song Shoutout.
MBB: What city do you currently represent?
J. AUSTIN: I’m from the Carolina’s and moved to Detroit when I was 6 and thats where I spent most of my life. And I would call that city the one I have the most love for because that’s where I had my first girlfriend, my first fight, recorded my first song etc.
MBB: Which producers would you like a chance to work with?
J. AUSTIN: Scott Storch, Irv Gotti, Kanye West, and Just Blaze.
MBB: What can we expect this year from you in music?
J. AUSTIN: The next EP Poetry in Penn Station comes out before May or right around it. It will also be on Spotify and Tidal.
