In 1993 Mac Mall released “Illegal Business” on Young Black Brotha Records and it featured a well known street anthem titled ‘My Opinion’ . The song was an immediate hit due to the catchy rasta flow and street tales of Mac Mall mixed with the infectious synth melody provided by producer Khayree.

Reggae music has always had a huge influence on Rap/Hip Hop, and This song idea was actually first created and released in 1985 by Mad Professor & Pato Banton with the same title ‘My Opinion’. Pato Banton has recreated the song himself plenty of times and there are many versions.
